Stems

The final quality level of a track, both in terms of impact and sound, is the result of meticulous work in every single phase of a song’s development
Maximum sound quality
Produce and record at the highest sound quality you can achieve
Naming tracks
Use clear and unique names for the tracks, e.g.: VOX Lead, VOX Back, Kick, Snare, Hi-Hat, Tom, Cymbals, Bass, Synth Lead 1, EFX1, etc.
Naming buses
If you use send effects, also name the buses, e.g.: REV VOX, DEL VOX, REV DRUM, etc.
Rough Mix
To establish the roles of the tracks and get an overall vision of the song, export (bounce) the entire track. Name it [ARTIST NAME] – [SONG NAME] – Rough Mix.
Export levels
Each track should nominally peak at -6dB, adjusting the gain and not the faders.
Exporting STEMS
After adjusting the levels, export the individual tracks and buses used. Accepted formats: .WAV or .AIF, 48 kHz, 24 or 32 bit.
Organization
Place the rough mix and the STEMS (tracks and buses) in a folder and rename it: [LABEL or PRODUCER] – [ARTIST NAME] – [SONG NAME]
Send
Create a .ZIP file of the folder and send it using one of the free online services (e.g., wetransfer.com or filetransfer.io). The download link must be entered in the appropriate field when ordering the chosen service.
